Typhoon "Rose" was one of the most intense and violent typhoons ever affected Hong Kong. On 16th August 1971, the Hurricane signal no.10 was hoisted. Photographs in this album record the damage caused by typhoon "Rose" to the huts in six locations, namely Chai Wan, Chai Wan Hill, Mount Davis, Tin Wan, Shek Pai Wan, and Wong Chuk Hang. They are arranged by the degree of damage caused, "Totally destroyed", "Seriously damaged", and "Slightly damaged".
