Post Offices

The Japanese Military Government confiscated post offices, including the General Post Office and Sham Shui Po Post Office, as "enemy properties" and renamed them with Japanised names.

During the Japanese Occupation, the General Post Office and Sham Shui Po Post Office were renamed. HKRS141-19-29-2 (1942-1945)
The General Post Office located at the junction of Pedder Street and Des Voeux Road was demolished in 1976. 01-09-245 (c.1968)
