Kai Tak Airport

During the Japanese Occupation, the Japanese Military Government forcibly acquired land near Kai Tak Airport, removed part of Sacred Hill and damaged the "Sung Wong Toi" boulder to expand the airport. After the war, the Government enacted Ordinance No. 33 of 1948 to compensate land owners for the land acquired for the expansion of Kai Tak Airport during the Japanese Occupation.
