The Book Collection of The University of Hong Kong
During the Japanese Occupation, a large number of books from the libraries of The University of Hong Kong were seized by the Japanese forces and taken to Japan. After the war, the Hong Kong Government actively pursued the recovery of assets looted by the Japanese during the war, including the books from The University of Hong Kong. Ultimately, with the efforts of Chan Kwan Po, Librarian of the Fung Ping Shan Library of The University of Hong Kong, and various parties, part of the looted books were successfully recovered.
