Introduction

Public Records Office (PRO) of Government Records Service (GRS) acquires historical records from different government departments on a regular basis. In 2009, PRO has accepted the transfer of 11 records of historical values from the Post Office. Through a wide variety of media such as photographs, design drawings and non-textual materials such as button, badge, garment and fabric samples, these historical materials thoroughly document the design, production and supply of uniforms for the frontline staff. These rich and diverse historical materials are now on display at the onsite exhibition.
