Queen Elizabeth Hospital was opened in 1963. The images of this digitised photo album are extracted from the archival record entitled“Queen Elizabeth Hospital - Opening Ceremony”(Reference No: HKRS307-6-29) which was transferred from the then Hospital Services Department, and a book entitled Hong Kong Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Reference No: 362.11 QUE 1966) published by the Information Services Department. They document scenes at the opening ceremony and facilities of the new hospital in the 1960s.
